Even on the most desirable street, there's a dark side . . .

The Hill is the kind of place everyone wants to live: luxurious, exclusive and safe. But now someone is breaking and entering these Cheshire homes one by one, and DS Leo Brady suspects the burglar is looking for something, or someone, in particular.

Over the border in Wales, DC Ffion Morgan recovers the body of an estate agent from the lake. There's no love lost between Ffion and estate agents, but who hated this one enough to want her dead - and why?

As their cases collide, Ffion and Leo discover people will pay a high price to keep their secrets behind closed doors . . .

PRAISE FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S HOUSES

Witty and ingeniously plotted with twist after brilliant twist, Other People's Houses is a thriller that keeps you guessing, gasping and grinning in equal measure. I loved it!
CLAIRE DOUGLAS
It's an absolute delight to read the latest in the DC Ffion Morgan series. This time we follow DC Ffion Morgan and DS Leo Brady on a fresh case that plunges them into the heart of a mystery in an exclusive community. Skilfully plotted, sharply paced, and wickedly funny, this is a must-read crime series. I'm already looking forward to the next instalment!
LUCY CLARKE
A gripping, intense, and thought-provoking story of betrayal, that explores the fragility of trust
KARIN SLAUGHTER
Other People's Houses is funny, entertaining and unguessable with a fabulous cast of deeply authentic characters and beautiful writing that immerses the reader in every scene. Clever and compelling
RUTH MANCINI
Social climbing and property envy provide the background to Clare Mackintosh's clever new novel . . . Mackintosh clearly relishes writing about the pretensions of the well-off residents and the stratagems of an outsider who wants to be accepted into their Whatsapp group . . . a stunning denouement

A welcome sense of authenticity . . . Full of social observations, this novel plots a course between the absurdities of modern cosy crime writing and the excessive brutality of the toughest of noir fiction

Had to stop listening by chapter 17 because of the narration. Why did the narrator have to use so many badly executed accents.?! It was becoming so annoying that I couldn't carry on listening to what seems to be a good story. The author should approve the storytelling before launching.
