Alfred Lansing was an American journalist and author. Born in 1921, he is best known for Endurance, his account of Ernest Shackleton's legendary Antarctic expedition.
Endurance tells the extraordinary true story of Shackleton's 1914 expedition to Antarctica — the ship trapped in ice, the crew stranded on the frozen sea, and the incredible journey of survival that followed. The book is widely regarded as one of the greatest adventure stories ever told.
Lansing died in 1975. His audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers one of the greatest true adventure stories ever written — a tale of human endurance, leadership, and survival against impossible odds.
