Anton Du Beke is a British ballroom dancer, television presenter, and author who has been a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing since the show's first series in 2004, making him the show's longest-serving professional. Born Anthony Paul Beke in Sevenoaks, Kent, in 1970, he trained as a ballroom and Latin dancer from childhood and became British Open to the World champion.
Du Beke has also established himself as an author of light-hearted historical fiction, with novels including One Enchanted Evening, Moonlight Over Mayfair, and A Christmas to Remember, set in the glamorous world of a grand London hotel in the 1930s. Anton Du Beke: A Memoir is his personal story, covering his journey from a difficult childhood to becoming one of the most recognisable and beloved figures on British television.
His audiobooks — narrated in his own charming, warm voice — and books offer listeners and readers both entertaining historical fiction set in the golden age of dance and an honest, engaging memoir from a national treasure who has danced his way into the hearts of millions.
