Blindboy Boatclub is the pen name and persona of an Irish author, podcaster, satirist, and musician from Limerick. He is one half of the comedy hip-hop duo the Rubberbandits, who shot to international fame in 2010 with their viral hit Horse Outside and are known for performing with plastic bags on their heads. He maintains his anonymity as part of his artistic practice, though he speaks openly about mental health and creativity.
Since 2017, Blindboy has hosted The Blindboy Podcast, one of Ireland's most popular podcasts, featuring wide-ranging monologues on psychology, history, politics, art, and philosophy, interspersed with interviews and short fiction. The podcast has been downloaded hundreds of millions of times and has earned a devoted international following. He has published two books of short stories — The Gospel According to Blindboy and Boulevard Wren and Other Stories — both of which became Irish bestsellers.
Small Bones in a Fist is an audiobook curated, narrated, and scored by Blindboy himself, drawing stories from his published collections and presenting them as an immersive listening experience. His audiobooks and books showcase a writer of genuine literary talent whose work blends surrealism, social commentary, dark humour, and unexpected tenderness.
