Brent Weeks

Brent Weeks is an American fantasy author best known for his Night Angel trilogy and the Lightbringer series, both of which have achieved international bestseller status. Born in Montana in 1977, he studied English at Hillsdale College in Michigan and worked various jobs before becoming a full-time writer with the publication of his debut. The Night Angel trilogy — The Way of Shadows, Shadow's Edge, and Beyond the Shadows — follows a young street urchin who becomes a legendary assassin, combining dark action with moral complexity. The Lightbringer series (five books beginning with The Black Prism) features an inventive magic system based on light and colour. A Perfect Shadow is a novella set in the Night Angel world.
