Chris Brookmyre is a Scottish crime and science fiction writer known for his darkly comic, politically charged thrillers that combine violence, satire, and sharp social commentary. Born in Glasgow in 1968, he studied English at Glasgow University and worked as a journalist in London and Los Angeles before becoming a full-time... novelist. Brookmyre's debut novel Quite Ugly One Morning introduced his anarchic style to readers and won the inaugural Bloody Scotland Crime Book of the Year.
