Christian Cameron is a Canadian-American novelist and military historian whose epic historical fiction brings the ancient world and medieval period to vivid, meticulously researched life. He studied History at the University of Toronto and served as an officer in the US Navy, including intelligence work during the first Gulf War. He is also a serious historical reenactor, participating in medieval combat and classical Greek warfare.
Cameron's extensive body of work includes the Tyrant series, set during the age of Alexander the Great; the Long War series, following an Athenian bronze smith through the Persian Wars; the Tom Swan series of novellas set in the fifteenth century; and the William Gold series, about a medieval English knight. His novel God of War is a sweeping fictional biography of Alexander the Great, told through the eyes of Ptolemy. He also writes under the pen name Miles Cameron for his fantasy series The Traitor Son Cycle.
His military background and hands-on experience with historical weapons and armour give his battle scenes an authenticity rarely found in historical fiction. His audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers immersive, action-packed historical adventures grounded in deep scholarship and a genuine passion for bringing the past to life.
