Christopher I. Beckwith

Christopher I. Beckwith is an American historian and professor at Indiana University, specialising in Central Eurasian history and the Silk Road. His book and audiobook Empires of the Silk Road is a sweeping, scholarly history of the great empires and cultures that arose along the ancient trade routes connecting East and West. Beckwith's writing is erudite, ambitious and provocative, and the audiobook is essential listening for anyone fascinated by world history, Central Asia and the deep roots of globalisation.
