Christopher Priest is a British novelist and science fiction author whose work is celebrated for its intellectual sophistication, unreliable narrators, and masterful exploration of perception and reality. His novel The Prestige, about rival Victorian magicians, was adapted into a major film by Christopher Nolan. Other notable works include Inverted World, The Separation, and The Adjacent, each challenging the reader's understanding of what is real within their fictional worlds. Priest won the World Fantasy Award and the BSFA Award multiple times. He passed away in 2024. His books and audiobooks reward listeners with brilliantly constructed, mind-bending fiction that questions the nature of truth, identity, and the stories we tell ourselves.
