Corrie ten Boom (1892-1983) was a Dutch-Christian watchmaker who, along with her family, helped shelter Jews from the Nazis during the Holocaust. Their home in Haarlem became a hiding place for Jewish refugees until the family was betrayed and arrested. Corrie was sent to the Ravensbrรผck concentration camp, where her sister Betsie died. After the war, Corrie dedicated her life to spreading a message of forgiveness and reconciliation.
A Prisoner and Yet... is one of her accounts of her wartime experiences, her imprisonment and the faith that sustained her through unimaginable suffering. The book captures both the horror of what she endured and the remarkable spirit of compassion and forgiveness that defined her life after liberation.
Available as both a book and an audiobook, A Prisoner and Yet... offers profoundly moving listening and reading โ a testament to courage, faith and the human capacity for forgiveness in the face of the most extreme cruelty.
