Craig Harrison is a British soldier and author who holds the record for the longest confirmed sniper kill in history, achieved in November 2009 in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, at a range of 2,475 metres. He served in the Blues and Royals, part of the Household Cavalry, during multiple tours of duty.
The Longest Kill is his account of his military career and the extraordinary shot that made him famous, as well as the psychological toll of combat and the struggles he faced with PTSD after returning from the front line. The book is both a military memoir and a candid account of the hidden costs of service.
Available as both a book and an audiobook, The Longest Kill offers gripping listening and reading for military history fans and anyone interested in the reality of modern warfare and the extraordinary skill and the devastating personal cost of being a sniper in combat.
