Czesลaw Miลosz (1911โ2004) was a Polish-American poet, novelist and essayist who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1980. His book and audiobook The Captive Mind is a landmark work of political and intellectual analysis, examining how intellectuals in post-war Poland were seduced by and submitted to communist ideology. Miลosz's writing is brilliant, morally searching and deeply influential, and the audiobook is essential listening for anyone interested in politics, philosophy and twentieth-century history.
