Dervla Murphy was an Irish touring cyclist and travel writer who became one of the most celebrated adventurers of the twentieth century. In 1963, she cycled from Ireland to India alone on a bicycle she called Roz, and the resulting book, Full Tilt, launched one of the most extraordinary literary travel careers in history. Over the next five decades, Murphy travelled through some of the world's most challenging terrain — often by bicycle, often with her young daughter — producing over twenty books. She passed away in 2022. Her audiobooks inspire listeners with the spirit of fearless, independent travel and some of the finest travel writing in the English language.
