Esther Freud is a British novelist and the daughter of painter Lucian Freud and great-granddaughter of Sigmund Freud. Her debut novel, Hideous Kinky, drew on her own childhood experiences of being taken to Morocco by her bohemian mother and was adapted into a film starring Kate Winslet. Freud's subsequent novels, including The Sea House, Mr Mac and Me, and I Couldn't Love You More, are distinguished by their lyrical prose, emotional sensitivity, and keen observation of family dynamics and displacement. Her audiobooks offer listeners beautifully crafted literary fiction that explores memory, family, and belonging with quiet intensity.
