Fiona Cummins is a British crime thriller author and former Daily Mirror showbusiness journalist who brings a journalist's instinct for human drama to her dark, compelling fiction. She is a graduate of the Faber Academy Writing A Novel course and now teaches her own Writing Crime course at the Faber Academy.
Cummins' novels include The Collector, The Neighbour, When I Was Ten, Into the Dark, and All Of Us Are Broken. Her later novels feature DC Saul Anguish, a brilliant young detective with a troubled past. All Of Us Are Broken is set in the Scottish Highlands, where a family on holiday becomes entangled with a violent couple seeking infamy, and Anguish must track them down before more lives are lost. Her work has received praise from crime writing giants including Val McDermid, Lee Child, David Baldacci, and Ian Rankin.
Her journalism background gives her fiction a propulsive, immediate quality, while her plotting delivers the kind of twists and emotional gut-punches that keep readers turning pages deep into the night. Her audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers dark, gripping crime fiction that explores what ordinary people are capable of when pushed to their limits.
