George Johnny Johnson MBE

George 'Johnny' Johnson MBE is the last surviving member of the original 617 Squadron — the 'Dambusters' — who carried out the legendary bouncing bomb raids on German dams during World War II. His memoir and audiobook The Last British Dambuster is a fascinating, deeply personal account of his wartime service and extraordinary life. Johnson's storytelling is modest, vivid and historically invaluable, and the audiobook is essential listening.
