Grace Livingston Hill was one of the most prolific and popular American authors of Christian romance and inspirational fiction in the early twentieth century. Born in 1865, she published over one hundred novels during her career, many of which combined romantic storylines with strong Christian moral themes. Aunt Crete's Emancipation is a charming novel about a kind-hearted woman who is taken for granted by her family until circumstances give her the chance to step into a new and more fulfilling life. Hill's fiction was enormously popular in its day and continues to be read by fans of clean, inspirational romance who appreciate stories with moral conviction and happy endings. Her novels reflect the values and social concerns of their era while telling timeless stories of love, faith and personal transformation. Her audiobooks and books preserve the work of one of America's most prolific inspirational fiction writers. She died in 1947.
