Hannah Kent is an Australian novelist whose acclaimed historical fiction draws on real events to create emotionally devastating narratives. She studied Creative Writing at Flinders University and at the University of Iceland.
Always Home, Always Homesick is part of her body of work that includes Burial Rites — her debut novel based on the true story of the last woman executed in Iceland, which was shortlisted for numerous awards including the Baileys Women's Prize — and The Good People, set in nineteenth-century Ireland. Kent's fiction is characterised by its atmospheric settings, its painstaking historical research, and its empathy for marginalised women.
Her audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers powerful, beautifully researched historical fiction about women whose stories history tried to erase.
