Homer Homer

Homer is the legendary ancient Greek poet traditionally credited with composing the Iliad and the Odyssey, two of the foundational works of Western literature. Whether Homer was a single historical figure or a tradition of oral poets remains one of the great scholarly debates. This box set brings together both the Iliad — the epic tale of the Trojan War, of Achilles' rage and Hector's courage — and the Odyssey — Odysseus's ten-year journey home. These are among the most important and influential works of literature ever created. Homer's audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers the foundational epics of Western literature — stories of war, courage, cunning, and the human condition that have shaped storytelling for three thousand years.
