James S. A. Corey is the pen name of American authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, who together created The Expanse, one of the most acclaimed science fiction series of the twenty-first century. Abraham is a well-established fantasy and science fiction author in his own right, and Franck worked as a personal assistant to George R. R. Martin before becoming a successful author.
The Expanse series spans nine novels — from Leviathan Wakes to Leviathan Falls — set in a future where humanity has colonised the solar system and political tensions between Earth, Mars, and the asteroid Belt threaten to ignite into war, complicated by the discovery of alien technology. Abaddon's Gate is the third novel, in which the alien protomolecule opens a gate to a network of alien worlds beyond the solar system. The series was adapted into a critically acclaimed Amazon Prime television series.
Their audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers space opera at its modern best — hard science fiction with compelling characters, realistic politics, and the kind of epic scope that makes the genre soar.
