Joseph McCabe was a British author, lecturer, and former Franciscan monk who became one of the twentieth century's most prolific writers on freethought, history, and social criticism. Born in 1867, he left the priesthood and went on to write over two hundred books and pamphlets on subjects ranging from religion and philosophy to science... and history. The Bloody Story of Anti-Semitism Down the Ages is a historical examination of persecution and prejudice against Jewish communities throughout history. McCabe's writing combined extensive research with passionate advocacy for reason and human rights. He died in 1955.
