Julia Quinn is an American author best known as the creator of the Bridgerton series — the beloved Regency romance novels that became a global cultural phenomenon when adapted by Shondaland for Netflix. With over 10 million copies of her books sold worldwide, Quinn is one of the most successful and influential romance writers of her... generation. Born Julie Cotler in 1970, she grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Harvard University. She initially planned to attend medical school but decided to pursue writing instead — a decision that has given the romance genre one of its most talented and commercially successful voices. The Bridgerton series, comprising eight novels published between 2000 and 2006, follows the eight siblings of the aristocratic Bridgerton family as they each find love in Regency-era London.
