Malcolm Hulke was a British television writer best known for his prolific contributions to Doctor Who during the Jon Pertwee era in the early 1970s. Hulke wrote some of the series' most politically engaged stories, including Doctor Who and the Silurians (novelised as Doctor Who and the Cave Monsters), The Sea Devils, and Invasion of the... Dinosaurs. His scripts often explored themes of environmentalism, pacifism, and the moral complexity of conflict. Hulke also co-wrote The Making of Doctor Who with Terrance Dicks.
