Professor David Nutt is a British neuropsychopharmacologist and author who is one of the world's leading experts on drugs and the brain. He is the Edmond J. Safra Professor of Neuropsychopharmacology at Imperial College London. He was controversially sacked as the UK government's chief drug adviser in 2009 for stating that alcohol and tobacco were more harmful than some illegal drugs.
Cannabis (Seeing Through the Smoke) examines the science of cannabis — its effects on the brain, its medical potential, and the evidence behind the political debates. Nutt's other books include Drugs Without the Hot Air. His work consistently argues for evidence-based drug policy.
His audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers rigorous, evidence-based science about drugs and the brain from the UK's most prominent — and outspoken — drug researcher.
