R. T. Kendall
Author
R.T. Kendall is an American-born Christian minister, theologian and author who served as minister of Westminster Chapel in London for twenty-five years. His book Pigeon Religion explores the difference between genuine spiritual experience and what Kendall calls counterfeit manifestations of the Holy Spirit, using the metaphor of pigeons,... which he sees as nuisance birds that mimic the dove, the biblical symbol of the Holy Spirit. Kendall's writing draws on decades of pastoral experience and theological study to help readers discern authentic spiritual experience from emotional manipulation or self-deception. He studied at Trevecca Nazarene University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and earned a doctorate from the University of Oxford. Kendall has written more than sixty books on Christian theology, spirituality and practice, making him one of the most prolific Christian authors of his generation. His work is respected across denominational boundaries for its biblical scholarship and practical wisdom. The audiobook edition brings his thoughtful examination of spiritual discernment to listeners seeking deeper understanding of Christian spiritual experience. Read more Show less
