Rene Denfeld

Rene Denfeld is an American author, journalist and licensed investigator whose fiction and non-fiction draw on her extraordinary real-world experience. She has worked as a death penalty investigator, helping exonerate wrongly convicted people on death row, and this experience infuses her fiction with a raw authenticity and moral urgency few writers can match. Denfeld's novels are dark, beautiful and deeply humane, exploring themes of trauma, redemption and the fierce will to survive. Her books and audiobooks offer readers and listeners powerful, emotionally devastating fiction from a writer who has seen the darkest corners of the justice system firsthand.
