Richard Ayoade

Richard Ayoade is a British actor, comedian, writer, director, and television presenter known for his roles in The IT Crowd and Garth Marenghi's Darkstaff, and for presenting the Channel 4 travel show Travel Man. Born in London in 1977, he studied Law at Cambridge. The Book That No One Wanted to Read is a children's book — a playfully meta, wickedly funny story about a book that is desperate to be read. Ayoade's writing for both adults and children reflects his trademark deadpan wit, his love of absurdity, and his ability to be simultaneously silly and clever. His audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers wonderfully funny, delightfully strange writing from one of British comedy's most distinctive minds.
