Sam Selvon (1923–1994) was a Trinidadian novelist and short story writer who was one of the most important Caribbean literary voices of the twentieth century. His most celebrated novel, The Lonely Londoners, is a groundbreaking portrayal of the Windrush generation's experience in 1950s London. The Housing Lark is another of his warm, witty novels about Caribbean immigrants in London. Selvon's audiobooks offer listeners classic, pioneering fiction about the Caribbean diaspora in Britain.
