Sheena Patel

Sheena Patel is a British writer and producer whose debut novel was one of the most talked-about literary debuts of 2023. She has worked in film, television, and theatre. I'm a Fan is a novel about a woman who becomes obsessed with her lover's other girlfriend via social media — a sharp, uncomfortable exploration of desire, power, race, class, and the way the internet amplifies our worst impulses. The book was shortlisted for the Gordon Burn Prize and praised for its unflinching honesty. Her audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers a razor-sharp debut about obsession, social media, and the power dynamics of desire — fiction that makes you squirm with recognition.
