Stuart Maconie is a British broadcaster, writer, and cultural commentator known for his witty, affectionate explorations of British life, landscape, and popular culture. Born in Wigan, Lancashire, in 1961, he studied English at the University of Birmingham and began his career as a music journalist at NME, where he became one of the... paper's most distinctive voices during the Madchester and Britpop eras.
