Tom Felton

Author

Tom Felton is a British actor, musician, and author best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, which he played across all eight films from the age of twelve to twenty-three. Born in Epsom, Surrey, in 1987, he began acting as a child and has appeared in films including Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the... period drama Belle. Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard is his memoir, offering an intimate, funny, and surprisingly candid account of growing up on the Harry Potter set, the bizarre experience of worldwide fame from childhood, and the personal struggles — including addiction and mental health challenges — that followed. The book was a Sunday Times bestseller and was praised for its honesty, warmth, and lack of Hollywood polish. His audiobooks — narrated in his own voice — and books offer listeners and readers a genuine, unvarnished account of what it's really like to grow up inside one of the biggest cultural phenomena in history — a memoir that is as honest about the dark bits as it is affectionate about the magic.
