William L. Shirer

William L. Shirer was an American journalist and historian who reported from Nazi Germany for CBS Radio. Berlin Diary is his famous first-hand account of life in Hitler's Germany from 1934 to 1941, written as the events unfolded. His audiobooks and books are extraordinary listening and reading — journalism as history, recorded in real time by a witness to one of the darkest chapters in human history.
