Yukito Ayatsuji is a Japanese mystery author and a leading figure in the shin honkaku (new orthodox) mystery movement, which revived classical puzzle-plot detective fiction in Japan. He is best known for his Bizarre House Murders series, featuring impossible crimes in architecturally extraordinary buildings. The Clock House Murders is one of his ingenious locked-room mysteries.
