Abigail Thaw

Abigail Thaw is a British actress, the daughter of the late John Thaw, best known for playing Dorothea Frazil in the ITV series Endeavour — the prequel to Inspector Morse, which starred her father. Born in London, she trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Beyond Endeavour, Thaw has appeared in numerous television productions and stage performances. She has worked in theatre across the UK, including at the National Theatre and in the West End. As an audiobook narrator, Thaw brings a warm, intelligent voice and the kind of natural authority that comes from strong theatrical training. Her connection to one of British television's most beloved detective franchises gives her a particular resonance with crime fiction, though her range extends beyond the genre. She brings careful characterisation and emotional sensitivity to every recording. For listeners who enjoy well-crafted narration with genuine acting quality, Abigail Thaw is a rewarding choice.
