Anna Friel is a British actress who first came to prominence playing Beth Jordache in the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside, where her character's storyline included one of the first pre-watershed lesbian kisses on British television in 1994. Born in Rochdale in 1976, she went on to star in the American television series Pushing Daisies and... the ITV drama Marcella. Her film credits include Me Without You, Timeline, and Limitless.
