Eliot Higgins

Eliot Higgins is a British journalist, author, and the founder of Bellingcat, the pioneering open-source investigative journalism organisation that has exposed war crimes, state-sponsored assassinations, and disinformation using publicly available data. Bellingcat's investigations have included identifying the perpetrators of the MH17 downing and the Salisbury poisonings. We Are Bellingcat is his account of how a self-taught investigator built a new model of citizen journalism that holds the powerful to account. His audiobook and book is inspiring, essential listening and reading for anyone interested in journalism, truth, accountability, and the power of open-source investigation.
