Sir Derek Jacobi

Sir Derek Jacobi is a British actor with a distinguished career in film, television, and theatre. Born in Leytonstone, London in 1938, he is known for his portrayal of the title character in the BBC television adaptation of I, Claudius, his extensive work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and roles in films including Gladiator, The King's Speech, and Murder on the Orient Express. He was knighted in 1994 for services to the theatre.
