A good story but now rathered dated with clichéd villains and now much less acceptable language and attitudes. Every cliche is there, German Spies, Mafia, stolen plans, a dwarf and the maverick police detective. Still it is a good read and Gordon Griffin's is superb as narrator

A jolly good, old-style detective novel
with lots of twists and turns, often in an unusual direction. Well worth the read.Geoff Miles 2023-07-17
