What to expect
anything beyond the rubble that covers her, but she’s sure someone will come save them soon. As the hours and days tick by, Ruby only has Charlie’s voice and her memories to keep her company.
She thinks of her mom, who she’d fought with before she left for the laundromat.
And her friend Mila, who’s spiraling more and more out of control.
And her boyfriend, Leo.
And her water polo team.
And the future she’d planned out for herself, which may all be lost in the rubble.
Tense, heartstopping, and emotionally complex, Aftershocks is a story about hope, love, and staying alive against the odds.
