What to expect
The Archon has ordered a day of celebration to mark her ascension to power. While most people in the city are looking forward to a day off and an excuse to drink and eat too much, Thea and the rest of the city's Watch are on high alert.
The Archon and the Ageless might be the rulers and the most powerful beings in the world, but they are not well liked. And there's a human faction that wants to see them fall.
After a difficult few months, Thea just wants to do her job and keep the city as safe as possible. The Archon and the human faction have other ideas and Thea finds herself in the middle of their conflict while trying to solve some apparently unconnected murders.
