Rival bookstore owner Sam Dickens is arrogant, fiercely competitive, and everything Lexi is not looking for – despite his devastating good looks. But if her favourite authors are right, he could be the one…

Lexi is determined to find out, but she must do it properly – using the man-hunting methods of the classics. She invites Sam to a ball (well, a party), gives a piano recital (she just needs to learn to play first), drags him to a dance class (does it matter if it’s not a quadrille?) and swoons into his arms while taking a turn in the park (note: next time, make sure he isn’t holding a hot drink). But when her methods are exhausted, will Lexi have lost all faith in her beloved classics, or maybe – just maybe – did they have it right all along…?
