Actually I fell in love with all the kids, who range from 9yrs old to 17. It wasnu2019t just how they talked and interacted with each otheru2026which btw had me guffawingu2026mostly it was the bond they shared and how they looked out for one another.
Then thereu2019s Nova Lumina, the creepozoid influencer, who cracked me up with her "Namasteu201d, clitoris candles and vagina sofasu2026 all ethically sourced and sustainably madeu2026 What? She wouldnu2019t lie about something like that, she is a sociopathu2026 auto correct ffsu2026 social media icon!
Several times I caught myself snorting, over all the facetious little gems hidden there!!
With her minions 1 and 2, and fear of The Bad Blood Bear, sheu2019s about to save the world, one forester child at a time! u2026 or is she?

The linguistic talents of Imogen Church have once again been unleashed with BOOP. Itu2019s most important to expect the unexpected, with a narrative from the magical mind of this wondrous and experienced writer and performer. I was absolutely immersed in the production and loved it!

Everything about this is glorious. Itu2019s graphic and made me feel very uneasy in places. Itu2019s also hilarious and such a funny commentary on modern life. The characters are great and the relationships are also very moving. It ticks all the boxes!

So much greatness here! Itu2019s beyond brilliant! Inventive, Hilarious and wildly entertaining! Imogen is one of kind and just about the funniest and most talented person ever. This story was amazing!!

Boop is so over the top. I was laughing within the first minute and enjoyed the crazy ride for its duration. Church as author and narrator so deliciously embodies each character in this nutty story. I felt like I was listening to a very current episode of the Twilight Zone, but for mature audiences. Super fun summer afternoon listen.

Seriously. I loved listening to this, of course I did. Imogen is my hands down favorite narrator on the planet. With this also being the first book that sheu2019s narrated, as well as written herself, itu2019s just extra special.
Overall I appreciated the message of the book, the statement against the shoddily run care system (or foster care here in the U.S). The lack of funding in that area, the fact that social workers are overworked, overwhelmed, and definitely underpaid. Unfortunately a lot of the time, the families who foster are worse than the families the children are taken from.
She tackles the SUPER unfunny subject of eugenics in a truly original and yes, funny, way.

Donu2019t let the heavy subjects fool you, the book is funny, and it packs a punch. Imogen tackles a lot in this, and Iu2019m here for all of it.

**edited** To say, Iu2019m really crap at reviewsu2026 I forgot a HUGE part of this story is about friendship, and family. Family not necessarily always being the one you were born with, but the one you choose. And sometimes even more importantly the one that chooses you.

Wow! Not only are you quickly convinced that this is a full cast of actors within just a couple of minutes but the story itself is pure joy! Well a little blood splashed sweary joy.. which happens to be my favourite kind. Itu2019s rare you find something this well made, written and acted all at once but Imogen motherfudging Church has nailed all 3. Buy it, listen to it, gift it and be a little sad itu2019s a little too sweary for your kids because I guarantee theyu2019d laugh their socks off. Anything that gives a shoutout by a kid to end systemic racism is real winner for me!!

There is nothing quite like Imogene Churchu2019s brain. If youu2019ve heard her narrate, you already know sheu2019s brilliant. But wait til you hear what comes not just out of her mouth, but out of her mind. To be fair, she might actually BE partly out of her mind, but only in the best of ways. As she warns in the beginning, though, this book is not meant for listeners who object to foul language, like u201cwellness guru.u201d

This book was freaking AMAZING! Molly is who Iu2019m becoming as I grow up, and she now ties for my absolute favorite character of all time. I was laughing so loud that my husband asked me to shush so he could do his homework instead of hearing my screams of hilarity through his noise canceling headphones. Imogen is by far my absolute favorite narrator ever, and I had no idea she was just as good of a writer, but f*u00a2k me she is! This was funny and deep and even though it was a quick read it was beyond wonderful! TEN STARS!!

This is the most crazy and brilliant experience, like a one woman theatre show on acid! You have to listen to this. Well done to Imogen church for the narration as itu2019s fantastic.
