Synopsis
Living Without Resistance Public Talk • Brockwood Park, 1969 In this searching public talk, J. Krishnamurti explores whether it is possible to live without psychological resistance. He examines how resistance arises through fear, conflict, attachment, belief and the constant effort to protect the self. While resistance may appear to offer security, does it instead create division, isolation and a life of continual struggle? Krishnamurti asks whether the mind can meet experience directly, without avoidance, suppression or defence, and whether true freedom begins when inner opposition comes to an end. A profound enquiry into fear, conflict, relationship and the possibility of living with openness, clarity and complete attention.
