What to expect
Was he a spy, assassin, or just a gigolo? Porfirio Rubirosa mingled with kings, dined with princes, and socialized with presidents, dictators, mobsters, and movie stars. In the wake of his frenzied activities, he left screaming headlines, hundreds of one-night stands, multiple divorces from the world’s richest women—including one who paid $66,000 a day for her dalliance—and more than 500 pages of secret FBI documents.
Now, for the first time, the true story of the world’s most famous international playboy is told in this brisk tale of intrigue, danger, and romance.
Critics Review
-
“I’d see him in a nightclub with an orchestra playing, and I’d say to myself, God, that’s who I want to be when I grow up—Rubirosa.”
George Hamilton, actor
-
“He was enchanting, mysterious, surprising, and very attractive. Without a doubt, the best dressed man in the world. The way Rubi dressed made me feel like I fell in a dumpster. I was very impressed to meet and know him.”
Sammy Davis, Jr., entertainer
