'I LOVE it . . . I can't remember the last time I read a book that was so fun' DOLLY ALDERTON

Everybody knows Daisy Jones and the Six.

Their sound defined an era. Their albums were on every turntable. They sold out arenas from coast to coast.

Then, on 12 July 1979, Daisy Jones walked barefoot onto the stage at Chicago Stadium. And it all came crashing down.

Everyone was there.

Everyone remembers it differently.

Nobody knew why they split. Until now . . .

Critics Review

[T]his absorbing novel is full of irresistible characters, and brilliantly evokes its time and place. It’s my favourite novel of the year.

I read the book in one sitting with memories of my 1970s. No drugs or LA scene but plenty of booze and playing records with friends.
The Amazon series is fabulous, bursting with music and colour and flamboyant characters, but some story arcs have been adapted and I wasnu2019t sure how much had changed.
This audiobook enabled med to slow down and relive the story as the author intended. The narration is brilliant and brought the book to life but also reminded me how much the book chops and changes between the characters. I know there are a lot of characters the story would have flowed better without quite so much chopping and changing.
I understand better now the adaptations that were made to bring the book to a video series and I think they did well. Iu2019m glad itu2019s been serialised and not made into a film as the serial has allowed more of their music to be appreciated.
I used to think that nothing good came out of the 70u2019s of gas shortages, inflation and strikes but there were some great rock bands in the decade

Really enjoyed this story, the writing really paints a picture and it was an easy listen for sure.
The narration was great, having a whole cast for the different characters really worked, although it did take quite a long time to figure out which voice belonged to which character, so bear with it!

Wow, I absolutely loved this!
An epic story of a 70s band, reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac, itu2019s full of rock 'n' roll lifestyle and romantic entanglements. This is TJR at her very best.
Narrated by a full cast of characters, the audiobook is an incredible performance. Even if you have already read the book, give it a listen - you wonu2019t regret it.
