Really enjoyed this. I work for a national dementia charity and this aspect was really well covered. You also don’t get that many books where the main character is in her 80s and has so much agency. As a sci-fi thriller it worked really well. Interesting concept that mostly holds together well and stays unpredictable to the end.
Narration generally good although the male narrator for Stanley’s chapters lacked emotional depth sometimes.simonwheeler 2026-08-09 -
