It was definitely an easy read and an interesting topic. Some of it was very stretched out and a lot far fetched. But overall a good read.
At first, it did take me some chapters to get my barings with the multiple characters pov and it being in 3rd person.
This story is set in the beautiful Cyprus within the Pure Heart community. Are they some kind of hippy cult, quite possibly. Headed by Quinn, over the years she has helped many 'lost souls' Zoe, Holly, Joe and Mel to name a few. These people have had some kind of past addiction or trauma in their lives, so Pure Hearts has been their place to live and forget and be part of a community. However, following an unfortunate incident with her Mother Eva, Sophia has come back to the community with one jaw dropping proposal to the members of Pure Heart.
This was such an interesting story, with quite a few twists involved. It is very much a slow burn though, so you really have to keep at it. I thought the narrators did a great job with all of the different POV's. I was hoping for more of a thriller though, but overall it was a pleasant surprise and I'm glad I read it.
Themes of childhood/young adult trauma, male abuse by females, the body and minds reinvention and the danger of inertia.
From reading the blurb, I had thought this would be a book about a holiday, but it wasn't this atall, which threw me off initially.
The character development was good and I enjoyed learning everyone's back story and how they came together.
Overall, it was a little slow paced for me and I felt that it dragged on. That said, the writing was good and I thoroughly enjoyed the ending.

A group of people who seem on the surface to be ordinary but each hold secrets that are shared as we read through the chapters. Full of twists and some dark moments. The timelines and different POVs add another dimension. Great psychological thriller.
Really enjoyed listening to this but I would also like to read it too.
