Honey & Spice is gorgeously written and heart-meltingly romantic. Kiki and Malakai have a rare, extraordinary, sizzling chemistry which has you rooting for their love story from the very first moment they cross paths. A triumph of a novel.
Honey & Spice is unapologetically romantic and really sexy. I could not have loved it more.
Kiki compares her feelings for Malakai as like swallowing a star. That's a bit how I felt after reading this messy but joyful book.
This is a fast-paced commercial novel with a refreshing take on a well-worn concept. Someone should adapt it for the screen.
Sparkling and self-assured... Babalola really captures the heady infatuation of first love.
Charming and funny.
Bolu is one of the laugh-out-loud funniest and sharpest of writers working today. I fell in love with Kiki and the whole line-up of loveable characters. It's smart, sexy, energetic and sums up the realness of being attracted to someone you didn't necessarily expect. I'm excited for everyone to read this book.
This book had me screaming from page one! Bolu understands desire better than anyone else and in Honey & Spice it prickles under every word. This book is so addictive it had me reading it even after I'd got off the bus.

The way the plot and character growth were so tied together was excellent and satisfying. Really love seeing defensive characters grow out of their spiky shell and engage with people.
Some of the writing is so poetic, and I was delighted I listened to the audio version as the narrator amplified some beautifully written paragraphs.
