I am obsessed with this. The angst! The flirty tension! These two are the mayors of Yearntown, and I was eating it up. If you’ve been obsessed with The Summer I Turned Pretty, but would like to skip the love triangle, and make it a bit more mature, you absolutely need to pick up this book. And if you don’t care about that series? Doesn’t matter, pick up this book anyway.
Chloe Ford is one of my favorite voices in romance right now. Fresh, clever, angsty, and painfully sexy, House Party perfectly captures the excruciating thrill of a forbidden crush while on the rollercoaster of emotions that’s navigating your twenties. The delicious will-they-won’t-they tension between Hattie and Freddie gave me incurable tummy flutters. I simply couldn’t turn the page fast enough. Chloe is an auto-buy author for me and I will be impatiently waiting for whatever she serves us next.
