What an absolute treat this was. I almost pressed ‘play it again please.’ The novel exceeds in depth and wonderment all three of the first 3 books in this series. The writing is just sparkling. And as for Michael Sheen’s performance (it’s so much more than a reading), well I’m blown away by his versatility with accents and his sensitivity to the text. 100% recommended.

A wonderful book, full of adventure and thrills and suspense, very touching and engaging. And Michael Sheen's interpretation is flawless and addictive. I am deeply in love with immensely pleasing sound of his voice and with the way he portrays different characters. I'd wish he read His Dark Material trilogy as well. I find it very difficult to listen to it after such exceptionally pleasurable experience like this. Please, bring us many more books read by Michael Sheen!
